After we were married, we had a rather awkward situation with cars. We had "my" 2003 Buick Lesabre with around 86,000 miles on it and "her" 2002 Honda Accord with about 51,000 miles.We soon decided we didn't need 2 cars to insure so we sold mine because of the higher miles on it. That left us with "her" Honda. It soon developed a few problems...it was still "her" car...and I had a secret desire for a hybrid...I made the mistake (?) of mentioning this to Dar...
Enter our new Toyota Prius, hybrid shown. It has 2 engines. The car uses electric, except when it needs supplemental power, then the gas automatically starts. Gas is used to re-generate the car's batteries. It's rated at 45-48 mpg. Only has an 11 gallon gas tank. No more $50 gas fill-ups
